Pardon Our Dust

DBC's David Hopkins and Diane Venable prepare for a FSS move in Crystal City.

Scheduled for a February 2006 start date, FSS will begin its move to new facilities here in Crystal City.  The LAN/Server team has been planning for some time now to ensure that there is minimal interuption to service.  Completed in phases, the server room should be completely relocated by June 2006.  David Hopkins has been tasked to plan and coordinate the effort from the servers perspective.  Larry Wilhelm will be managing the printer relocations.  The communications team is ensuring that power and comm is sufficiently "lit".  The FSS Client Services team will be providing the desktop support for striking and setup of workstations.  The effort looks daunting and impressive, but we are convinced it will be a success.
